Trey Miguel earns TNA title shot at Destination X
Trey Miguel won a ladder match on Thursday Night Impact to become the number one contender for the TNA World Championship. He defeated Moose, Elijah, Ricky Sosa, and Jason Hotch in the main event, which was taped in Dothan, Alabama.
The victory earns Miguel a title shot against Leon Slater at the Destination X event scheduled for November 15 in Edmonton, Alberta.
During the ladder match, Elijah nearly retrieved the contract before former champion Nic Nemeth interfered with a superkick. Miguel responded by hitting the Lightning Spiral on Nemeth and then climbing the ladder to claim the contract.
Miguel enters the title match as a former two-time X Division champion. He has also previously held the International and tag team championships in TNA.
