Tony D'Angelo eyes main roster move after five years in NXT

Tony D'Angelo has expressed his long-standing goal of moving to the WWE main roster after spending five years in NXT. D'Angelo made his NXT debut on October 5, 2021. He stated that Shawn Michaels told him the delay has nothing to do with his work and is simply a matter of timing.

In an interview with PW Insider, D'Angelo said everyone has a different timeline and he stopped stressing about the wait because it is something he cannot control. D'Angelo noted that NXT has been good to him and that Shawn Michaels, Johnny, and Bloom have all treated him well, so he will continue to help out there while pursuing his main roster ambitions.

He added that he refuses to dwell on questions he will never get answers to and will instead focus on what he can control by working hard to get himself to the main roster. D'Angelo mentioned that he gets to see his family at home every night and is not upset about his current situation.

Later in the interview, when discussing Danhausen hosting Halloween Havoc, D'Angelo encouraged him to uncurse him to reach the main roster in the same way he did for the New York Knicks.
