The wrestler is scheduled to retire from in-ring competition in 2027. He made the announcement earlier this year at an event in his hometown of Yamagata.

Honma decided to retire after medical examinations revealed issues with his neck. He is focusing on improving his physical condition to allow for one final match in Yamagata in 2027.
