Steve Maclin Eyes Josh Alexander Match In MLP

“I Love To Go Out There And Have A War With My Best Friend— Steve Maclin
Steve Maclin received his release from TNA Wrestling on June 7, 2026. He had been with the promotion for five years after joining in June 2021. In an interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Maclin said he took advantage of every top opportunity given to him and tried to knock it out of the park.
Maclin stated that the day he was let go from WWE, they talked and he knew to get to work and prove who he was. Maclin explained that he pitched creative ideas but ultimately performed whatever was decided to the best of his ability to give fans something to enjoy whether they liked or hated him.
He added that he loves being hated because it is more fun and the complete opposite of who he is outside of wrestling where he can nitpick and have fun. Maclin noted that he worked through three different regimes in TNA with Scott D’Amore, Ariel, and Carlos Silva along with various creative teams.
He pointed out that Jimmy Jacobs is behind the scenes in Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling and D’Lo Brown is there as well. Maclin said everybody in the wrestling world is still connected and you see each other in a different light while building trust and relationships.
When discussing dream matches in Maple Leaf Pro, Maclin said the first that comes to mind is Josh Alexander. He expressed wanting to have a war with his best friend where neither would hold anything back because the Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship would be on the line.
