Shotzi Blackheart explains denied TNA request

Shotzi Blackheart has clarified remarks she made about being denied a request to compete in TNA while under contract with WWE. The newly signed TNA Wrestling Knockouts star told the Generation of Wrestling podcast that she has long wanted to wrestle in a TNA ring.
Following her recovery from ACL surgery in 2024, Blackheart pitched the idea of appearing for TNA to WWE officials. The request was turned down even though NXT and TNA have an active partnership. At the time Blackheart was active on the NXT roster and also being considered for a potential storyline on SmackDown.
She explained that WWE believed adding TNA to her schedule would have been too much to manage alongside those commitments. Blackheart took to social media to follow up on the interview, stating there was no negativity behind her comments. In indirect remarks she noted that her intention was simply to express her longstanding desire to work with TNA and her enthusiasm for making it fit with an already full schedule.
Blackheart's WWE contract was not renewed in 2025, after which she spent time in MLW and on the independent scene. She is now signed to TNA Wrestling and made her debut for the promotion at a television taping in Dothan, Alabama this month.
