Shotzi Blackheart Reveals WWE Blocked TNA Run

Shotzi Blackheart asked WWE for permission to compete in TNA while she was still signed to the company but the request was denied. Blackheart spoke with Tommy Dreamer about the possibility after returning from her ACL injury in 2024. Dreamer was receptive to the idea yet other WWE executives blocked the run.
Blackheart was released by WWE in May 2025 and then spent time on the independents before signing with TNA. She explained that after a year and a half of doing her own thing and regaining her confidence she felt it was time to return to television. Blackheart stressed the importance of authenticity in the ring and said she is focused on winning TNA gold.
