Sami Zayn Opens Smackdown With Family Warning

On the October 23, 2026 episode of WWE Smackdown from the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California, Sami Zayn addressed the crowd alongside Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae. Zayn discussed the misconception that the alpha male must be the biggest and strongest, instead stressing that the smart one survives, and declared he would not tolerate disrespect from anyone including Penta. Rey Fenix then interrupted, noting uncertainty over Penta's actions while affirming that he and Zayn remain family but warning of consequences if Zayn disrespects that family. The show opened with a recap of Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn's argument on Raw as the road to Crown Jewel continues.
