Rusev Praises Penta as Future World Champion

Rusev has been a big fan of Penta since their time together in AEW before Rusev returned to WWE in 2025. The two have frequently shared the ring since his return. Rusev told TMZ Inside The Ring that as soon as he came back after the first or second show he bragged to CJ about the Lucha Bros.

He described them as unbelievable and like live action figures while calling Penta so cool and saying he looks like a Mortal Kombat character. Rusev praised Penta's recent Money In The Bank win and said he deserves it 100 percent.

He added that he loves working with Penta and kicking his ass because he knows how entertaining and cool he is. Rusev stated that if Penta becomes a world champion he will be more than happy for him and that it is good for the business in general.

He also called Penta a great guy who helps so many kids in Mexico by buying truckloads of toys and clothes for orphans and people with no homes. Rusev noted that Penta does not talk about it but has shared these details in private conversations and that if people get to know him they would love him as a person.
