Robert Stone Calls NXT GM Role Most Rewarding Of Career
“I mean, it’s a dream job. It really is. It’s a dream come true.— Robert Stone

Robert Stone has described his current position as WWE NXT general manager as the most rewarding role of his career. Stone has held the NXT general manager spot for the past nine months after serving as interim GM. During that time he has been part of several top storylines on the brand and developed enjoyable working relationships with the roster.

In a recent interview Stone called the job a dream come true after spending 26 years in the industry. He noted that he previously worked independent wrestling for nearly 10 years, spent almost eight years with TNA, and has been with WWE for more than seven years.

Stone said he has particularly enjoyed participating in backstage skits with his boss Shawn Michaels, whom he idolized while growing up. He also received an endorsement from William Regal, a former NXT general manager, when he took over the position.

Stone expressed hope that the role becomes long-lasting and that fans will remember him as someone who did a great job as NXT general manager. He added that he feels the group is just getting started in the position.
