Ricochet Embraces Villain Role in AEW

Ricochet has portrayed a hero for most of his professional wrestling career prior to joining All Elite Wrestling. He signed with AEW in August 2024 while continuing to play the babyface role. By January of this year Ricochet shifted to embracing the villain side of his personality.
He attacked Swerve Strickland with a pair of scissors which marked the realignment that began a new chapter in his AEW tenure. Following the turn Ricochet formed The Demand faction and captured the AEW World Trios Championship. Ricochet now serves as the face of DC's new Super Villains campaign that highlights characters including Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Lex Luthor and Clayface.
The campaign aims to celebrate the personalities, style and cultural impact of these figures across comics, film, television, gaming and pop culture while encouraging fans to examine the gray areas between good and evil. Ricochet stated that the gray area between good and evil is his preferred spot.
In an interview with The Takedown on SI he discussed his character development inside and outside AEW, his sources of creative inspiration and his future plans.
