Ric Flair Needs One More Surgery After Fall
Ric Flair was hospitalized in Tampa after suffering a fall on Friday morning. The incident occurred outside a restaurant where he had been at the bar. He left his drink and phone behind before walking across the street and falling suddenly.
The fall caused injuries to his face, including a cut to his head. Flair was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The reason for his abrupt departure from the restaurant remains unknown.
Hours earlier, Flair had posted on social media explaining that he could not fly to an appearance in Seattle. He cited a blood clot in his leg as the reason he was unable to travel the distance.
In the statement, Flair expressed disappointment over canceling his scheduled appearance at Washington State Horror Con. He emphasized that he needed to prioritize his health and recovery. Flair mentioned that a procedure is scheduled for the affected vein, after which doctors expect him to be cleared for more travel.
Flair has a history of significant health problems. In 2017, he underwent surgery for a severe intestinal blockage that resulted in a month-long hospital stay. He attributed those issues to heavy drinking and was given only a 20 percent chance of survival at the time.
