Rey Mysterio Planned Chainmail Gear For WWE Debut

Rey Mysterio was unmasked in WCW starting at SuperBrawl 1999 and continued without it for the rest of his time there. Upon signing with WWE in June 2002, he learned from OVW staff that Vince McMahon wanted him to wear the mask again, leading him to switch from his planned chainmail headgear and vest with baggy pants to the red masked outfit. He made his masked WWE debut on the July 25, 2002 episode of SmackDown.
