NXT Women's Division Shines Amid Men's Talent Influx

The NXT women's division has stood out as the brand's top highlight throughout 2026. It has continued to deliver strong performances while the men's roster deals with significant changes.

Multiple top male stars received promotions during the year. This created an opening for new talent and one returning performer to compete in a crowded field.

The men's division featured various attempts to create compelling storylines. These included a leader of a nepo-baby faction releasing diss tracks and a winner of a competition experiencing hallucinations involving talking raccoons.

The episode opened with a video package recapping the rivalry between Dion Lennox and Cruz Montana. Their feud built through an in-ring promo exchange, pre-packaged promos, and an attack by Lennox on Montana after a phone call with his mother.

Lennox later made threats backstage while with Osiris Griffin and Cutler James. They watched a video of Montana vowing to defeat him.

The show concluded with two individuals dressed as police officers tackling Montana to the ground. Lennox observed the scene, appearing pleased that he had driven his rival back to a darker mindset.
