Mini Vikingo suffered an elbow injury during his WWE NXT run that will require surgery, forcing him to pull out of his scheduled AAA Cruiserweight title match against champion Rey Fenix at Heroes Inmortales. During a backstage segment on Week 1, Vikingo informed Fenix he could not compete, leading Fenix to announce an open challenge for the championship on Heroes Inmortales Week 2 airing October 31, 2026. Vikingo's most recent match was a loss with Chazz Hall to Vanity Project on the October 13 episode of NXT, and he was subsequently pulled from the October 20 card as he was not medically cleared.
