Mike Bailey Reveals Origin of MVP Feud Rumors
“It started with a story that we both saw online, and we’re both like, ‘What the f**k is this?’— Mike Bailey
Rumors surfaced nearly a year ago claiming that AEW wrestlers Mike Bailey and MVP were engaged in a backstage feud. The claims were later refuted by MVP, who described Bailey as one of the nicest guys.
Bailey recently discussed the origins of the rumors in an interview. He explained that both he and MVP saw the same online story and reacted with disbelief at the unfounded premise.
The rumors gained traction despite Bailey and Kevin Knight having faced MVP and his partner in a tag team title match at All In. Bailey noted the absurdity of suggesting personal dislike between wrestlers who had just competed against each other in the ring.
The story spread because certain online circles thrive on such drama. Bailey and MVP decided they needed to address the situation directly.
Following the release of a humorous backstage video featuring the pair, their exchanges of "fuck you" became a recurring joke between them.
