Kofi Calls New Level AEW Debut Worst Kept Secret
“So I think it was like the worst kept secret on the Internet because everyone seemed to know that we were going to be here.— Kofi Kingston
Kofi described the impending debut of The New Level at AEW All In as the worst kept secret on the internet because many people already knew about it ahead of time.
The New Level, consisting of Kofi and Austin Creed, made their AEW debut at the event earlier this year. They teamed with Swerve Strickland and won the Trios Championships in that appearance.
Speculation and reports had circulated beforehand that the pair would appear at All In. Kofi noted that while the debut was widely anticipated, the team did not finalize a contract until less than 24 hours before their match.
He emphasized the idea of manifestation, stating that the team had envisioned competing against top tag teams and trios in AEW. The New Level achieved a unique accomplishment by winning a title in their first night with the promotion.
Kofi pointed out that while others had won titles in their first match, those instances occurred on subsequent appearances. No one had previously won a championship on their debut night in AEW.
