Killer Kross Recalls WWE Merger Promise For Acting Opportunities

“A couple of years ago, we had this in-house meeting at WWE where, you know, the bosses were there and they were talking about how the merger with TKO was going to provide some sort of transitionary connective tissue into getting into different types of lanes of entertainment.— Killer Kross
Killer Kross has long shown his passion for film through promos, social media, and a short film he created. He has since become an independent filmmaker and actor.
During an in-house WWE meeting a couple of years ago, officials discussed how the merger with TKO would create opportunities to enter other areas of entertainment. Kross described the session as similar to a university lecture and indicated that the company treated the subject seriously.
Kross followed up after the meeting. He expressed that he did not want to leave wrestling but wished to explore acting, noting his background in theater and asking for the proper approach.
He hoped to serve as an ambassador for WWE in the film world. Kross was instructed to follow up in October, at which point he would be flown to Los Angeles for introductions to relevant people.
When he followed up as directed, none of the promised steps occurred. A second attempt also yielded no results, leading to his frustration with the company.
Kross then pursued opportunities independently. He produced his own short film and has continued expanding his work in film, with additional projects in development and the film Godshot scheduled for release soon.
