Iran Plots Against Americans Escalate Ahead of Crown Jewel

U.S. intelligence officials warned Secretary of State Marco Rubio that Iranian efforts to target American personnel have reached advanced stages, according to The New York Times. The memo from Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton notes a substantial increase in lethal plotting in the Middle East, Europe and elsewhere. The threat level against Americans is now assessed at its highest point since the war with Iran began in February, adding to security concerns for the upcoming Crown Jewel event in Riyadh.
