Ilja Dragunov Believes He Stands Out On AEW Roster
“I bet on myself when I left WWE. I’m betting on myself still, and I’m betting on what my gut is telling me and the way the people, the company introduced me, I think it speaks for itself that I stick out from all the rest on that roster.— Ilja Dragunov
Ilja Dragunov made his in-ring debut for All Elite Wrestling. In an interview, he expressed that he believes he stands out on the AEW roster.
Dragunov said he did not worry about the depth of the roster because he has always bet on himself. He noted that he took the same approach when leaving WWE and continues to follow his instincts.
He pointed out that the way the company introduced him demonstrates that he is different from others on the roster. Dragunov added that performers who distinguish themselves tend to receive more focus.
According to Dragunov, trying to be like everyone else can lead to being overlooked. He stated that he has not been overlooked during his 14-year career.
Dragunov is scheduled to face Mike Bailey on the October 21 episode of Dynamite.
