Gunther Challenges Balor on SmackDown

Gunther opened the November 6 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown by entering the ring in street clothes and delivering a promo. He stated that he was not scared on the previous Halloween edition of SmackDown but was instead freaked out and took out the freak show as a favor to everyone.

Gunther claimed Finn Balor's career is hanging by a thread and urged him to quit and give it up that night. He criticized Balor for becoming friends with Danhausen and participating in what he called bullshit, saying Balor has disgraced himself.

Balor made his way to the ring and declared there are no smoke and mirrors, only a Demon waiting to come out and that he is done waiting. The two brawled in the ring, with Balor being thrown from the top but mounting a comeback that prompted Gunther to leave the ring.

They engaged in a staredown before Gunther backed up the aisle. Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett called the show while Alicia Taylor handled ring announcing duties.
