Grayson Waller mocks NXT stars for marking out over John Cena

NXT Champion Grayson Waller criticized his fellow NXT wrestlers for their excited reactions backstage when it was announced that John Cena would make a rare appearance on the show. Waller was speaking on Busted Open After Dark about the upcoming episode, which is moving to Wednesday, November 4, due to election coverage and will air against AEW's Blood & Guts.

He described the moment the graphic appeared as pathetic, saying the other wrestlers acted like kids at a fan meet-and-greet shouting about Cena's arrival. Waller contrasted their behavior by noting he is the only one on the roster who has faced Cena in the ring twice and gone against him on the microphone, surviving the experience.

He stated that Cena should wipe his feet, knock on the door, and ask permission before entering his house or his ring on the show. He explained that they are all on one WWE brand now and must carry themselves as equals while still showing respect and learning from the legends without acting like fans.

Waller warned that if any wrestlers ask for photos or wear Cena's merch next week, he will talk to them directly, emphasizing that to become champion or main event WrestleMania, they must treat these people as equals.
