Cody Rhodes Thinks The Rock Has Matches Left
“I think personally he has a couple of matches probably left to do.— Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes believes Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson still has a couple of matches left as a performer. Rhodes shared his thoughts during an appearance on "Insight With Chris Van Vliet" when discussing the possibility of a singles match against The Rock.
Rhodes noted that he does not know exactly how to answer questions about facing The Rock. He added that the decision on any future matches would be entirely up to The Rock himself. Rhodes pointed out that The Rock gave everything at WrestleMania 40. He said The Rock could view that event as a strong final piece to his in-ring career.
The Rock, aged 54, last wrestled on night one of WrestleMania 40. In that tag team match, he teamed with Roman Reigns to defeat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins under Bloodline Rules. The Rock pinned Rhodes during the WrestleMania 40 tag match. That result added the Bloodline Rules stipulation to the Undisputed WWE Championship main event on night two.
At the time of WrestleMania 40, The Rock indicated that additional in-ring appearances could happen. No further matches have taken place in the two-and-a-half years since. The Rock has continued to appear in storylines involving The Bloodline. Those segments included one with Rhodes that led to John Cena's heel turn at Elimination Chamber 2025.
