Chris Jericho TV Series Nears Pilot Filming
“We’ve kind of moved it up the food chain and it’s getting pretty close to filming a pilot and we do have an actor that is very similar to me when he was first starting out that was from the Letterkenny series.— Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho revealed in an interview that a television series based on the early years of his wrestling career is advancing toward filming a pilot. The project draws from his first book, A Lion's Tale, which the team has developed for some time.
Jericho noted that production has moved up significantly and is now nearing the pilot stage. He disclosed that an actor from the Letterkenny series has been selected due to a strong facial resemblance to him at the start of his career.
Jericho explained that a simple autobiography would not suffice given his persona, leading to the decision for a full series on his beginnings. When asked about a potential actor for a film version of his life, Jericho dismissed Brad Pitt, pointing out that the 62-year-old is older than him at 55.
Jericho has competed in All Elite Wrestling since 2019 and holds the distinction of being the promotion's first-ever world champion.
