Tommaso Ciampa Misses RKO On Kyle Fletcher In St. Louis

Tommaso Ciampa attempted to deliver an RKO on a figure he believed to be Randy Orton during AEW's Fright Night Dynamite and Collision taping in St. Louis, Missouri. Ciampa had posted a video on Instagram declaring he would hit Orton with the move out of nowhere in his former co-worker's hometown.

The clip then showed Ciampa charging at the person hours later only to miss the RKO and land back-first on a trainer's table. He quickly realized the target was not Orton but Kyle Fletcher, whom he had lost the AEW TNT Championship to earlier this year.

A confused Fletcher asked what Ciampa was doing, prompting the self-described Psycho Killer to admit he thought Fletcher was someone else. Fletcher allowed the incident to pass while Ciampa groaned in pain on the table. On the Dynamite broadcast itself, Ciampa called out Andrade El Idolo for a rematch after their WrestleDream loss and proclaimed himself the best signing in AEW history.

That statement brought out recent signee Ilja Dragunov, who challenged Ciampa to a fight, though Ciampa declined to focus on his scheduled Collision match against Matt Sydal.
