Booker T Recalls Threatening Fit Finlay Over Stiff Kidney Kick

“I didn’t mind stiff, but I needed safe at the same time.— Booker T
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recalled an incident in which he threatened to fight Fit Finlay after receiving a stiff kick to the kidney area during a match. Booker T noted that Finlay was known as a stiff worker, something he generally accepted without issue.
During one of their encounters, Finlay kicked him in the back but landed the blow near the kidneys, causing significant pain. After the match, Booker T confronted Finlay backstage as he came through the curtain and warned him directly. Booker T told Finlay that if he kicked him like that again, they would fight the next time he returned through the curtain.
The former World Champion stressed that while he did not mind stiff wrestling, he required it to remain safe at the same time. Booker T acknowledged that he himself had stiffed many other wrestlers over the years. Following the warning, Finlay never repeated the painful kick in their subsequent matches.
Booker T and Fit Finlay competed against each other on multiple occasions in both singles and multi-man bouts across WWE and WCW.
