Austin Creed Names Key New Day Match Before Kofi's WrestleMania Push
“the most important match that we’ve had as a team was when me and (Big) E won that match to get Kofi a title shot.— Austin Creed
Austin Creed reflected on his time with The New Day alongside Big E and Kofi. He identified their match leading up to WrestleMania 35 as the most important for the group because it earned Kofi a WWE Championship opportunity.
Creed and Kofi have now been in All Elite Wrestling for nearly a month as part of The New Level. They currently hold the AEW World Trios Championship with Swerve Strickland.
Creed explained that teaming with Strickland allows them to face multiple tag teams quickly. This approach helped them win the titles by defeating several credible teams on the AEW roster.
The trio aims to gain experience wrestling against various opponents while benefiting from Strickland's presence and support from Prince Nana.
On October 17 at AEW WrestleDream, Creed, Kofi, and Strickland will defend the AEW World Trios Championship against Hangman Adam Page, Bandido, and Brody King in a two-out-of-three falls match.
