Aries Faces Lee In Opera Cup Semifinal Bout

The National Openweight Champion Austin Aries is set to face the Southern Crown Champion Trevor Lee in a semifinal match of the Opera Cup. The bout is scheduled for this Thursday at 8 PM ET on MLW FUSION, which will stream free on Tubi.

The winner will advance in the tournament. However, the matchup also carries personal stakes stemming from Aries' interference in Lee's prior victory over Místico.

Lee aims to secure advancement on his own merits without external factors influencing the outcome. He plans to use his explosiveness and determination to prevent Aries from controlling the contest.

Aries, who refers to himself as the Phantom of the Opera Cup, relies on aggressive offense combined with strategic manipulation to maintain progress. This approach makes him a persistent threat regardless of how the match unfolds.

Both competitors enter as titleholders with significant pride on the line in addition to the opportunity to move closer to winning the Opera Cup. Only one will advance from the semifinal encounter.
