Amazing Red Believes He Can Lure AJ Styles From Retirement
“Wrestling is such a hard thing to leave. It’s just one of those ex-girlfriends that just don’t leave you alone.— Amazing Red
AJ Styles ended his in-ring career with a loss to Gunther at the Royal Rumble in January. In a new interview, Amazing Red agreed that he could be the one to pull Styles back into wrestling, citing how Will Ospreay drew him out of his own retirement and noting Styles' continued training and presence at dojos while following his son's career. Red described wrestling as an ex-girlfriend that won't leave you alone and said there are times wrestlers need breaks but it's extremely difficult to fully walk away.
