AEW's Pac Dies at 40 in Illinois Parking Lot

AEW wrestler Benjamin Satterley, known as Pac, died at age 40 in a parking lot in Des Plaines, Illinois. His body was found slumped over in the driver's seat of a rental car near a CAVA restaurant just before 4 p.m. on September 27. A 911 caller reported no visible signs of life or chest movement.
Satterley's wife, Natalie Taylor, called his cellphone while police were at the scene. She told authorities that she had last spoken with him less than three hours earlier. He had informed her that he was stopping at the restaurant before heading to O'Hare Airport.
Taylor reported to officials that Satterley had been diagnosed with a medical condition and was prescribed medication for it. She stated he had no history of illicit drug or alcohol abuse. Toxicology reports later found nothing unusual.
The Cook County Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be bronchial asthma and ruled the passing as natural. Satterley had competed in an AEW event the previous day, wrestling Andrade at the NOW Arena in Chicago on September 26.
In an Instagram post on October 12, Taylor shared that the couple had been planning for his return home. The planned activities included playing basketball, setting up a home gym, taking walks with their dog, and other family outings.
