Yota Tsuji Calls For Equal NJPW-AEW Partnership

“I'm going to keep holding the IWGP Title, and I'm going to spread New Japan Pro-Wrestling—no, pro-wrestling itself—even further across Asia, and one more thing: I need to work on establishing an equal relationship with AEW.— Yota Tsuji
Yota Tsuji has expressed a desire for an equal partnership between NJPW and AEW. During a press conference promoting the Destruction in Kobe event on September 27, he discussed his upcoming match while stating his intention to establish balanced relations with the American promotion.
Tsuji emphasized his focus on retaining the IWGP title in Kobe. He referenced his recent trip to Vietnam and a related video on the NJPW YouTube channel, noting plans to expand pro-wrestling across Asia.
The Destruction in Kobe card includes involvement from AEW wrestlers in two matches. Claudio Castagnoli faces Shingo Takagi in a singles match, stemming from Takagi's loss to Castagnoli on an episode of AEW Collision in July.
In the semi-main event, Drilla Moloney challenges Gabe Kidd for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship. The two competitors share a history from their time together in the Bullet Club War Dogs.
