WWE Still Discussing Rock's Praise For Tony Khan

The Rock shared positive comments about Tony Khan and AEW in a tribute video following PAC's passing. He described Khan as his friend and stated that AEW is growing into a phenomenal wrestling company. The remarks continue to be discussed within WWE.

WWE personnel were not upset by the video but were surprised by The Rock's comments regarding Khan and AEW. Theories exist about the motivation behind the praise, though it appears to stem from The Rock's affection for the wrestling industry.

The Rock emphasized that he prioritizes humanity over competition when a wrestler passes away. He noted his deep roots in the business and his focus on supporting wrestlers during difficult times rather than viewing them through a competitive lens.

Separately, The Rock was initially advertised for WWE tryouts in Hawaii but ultimately did not attend. WWE had removed his name from promotions for the tryouts and related live events held on October 16th and 17th.
