WWE Crown Jewel Championship explained

The WWE men's and women's Crown Jewel Championships were introduced in 2024. In storyline, they are presented as the most prestigious titles in the company.
The championships are awarded once a year and are never defended. Men's and women's world champions from Raw and SmackDown compete against each other with their regular titles not on the line.
The winner of each match receives a large Crown Jewel Championship belt. The belt is carried for a few hours before being placed on display at the WWE Experience in Riyadh.
The first Crown Jewel champions were crowned on November 2, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Cody Rhodes defeated Gunther to become the inaugural men's champion, while Liv Morgan defeated Nia Jax to become the inaugural women's champion.
Seth Rollins later won the men's Crown Jewel Championship by defeating Cody Rhodes. Stephanie Vaquer won the women's Crown Jewel Championship by defeating Tiffany Stratton.
This year's Crown Jewel Championship matches are set with Women's World Champion Liv Morgan facing WWE Women's Champion Chelsea Green. World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns will face WWE Champion Sami Zayn.
