WWE Covered Hip Surgery For Psicosis

WWE covered the cost of hip surgery for Psicosis. The decision came from WWE President Nick Khan and was aided by Psicosis being under a WWE Legend's Contract.
The operation was spearheaded by WWE luchador Rey Mysterio. Psicosis and Juventud Guerrera were key rivals for Mysterio during the early part of his career.
Their rivalry took place across promotions including AAA, the Japanese promotion WAR, ECW, and WCW. In WCW they notably competed in the opening match at Bash at the Beach 1996, the event where the nWo formed.
Psicosis had a memorable career beyond his matches with Mysterio. He won the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship twice, the AAA World Tag Team Championships with Joe Lider, and the Mexican National Welterweight Championship twice.
He competed briefly for WWE from 2005 to 2006 as part of the Mexicools stable alongside Juventud Guerrera and Super Crazy. Psicosis continued wrestling in Mexico until an injury two years ago required emergency hip surgery.
He was inducted into the AAA Hall of Fame later that year.
