Tyler Breeze Recalls Failed Tag Team Pitch With Xavier Woods

Tyler Breeze faced an evaluation with Bill DeMott early in his NXT tenure. During the meeting Breeze referenced a previous tag team pitch with Xavier Woods that had received no response.

Breeze stated that he and Woods had presented the tag team idea along with their gear. DeMott claimed the company had followed up with Woods, but Breeze disputed this.

Breeze then opened the door and asked Woods directly if anyone had informed him about the tag team pitch. Woods replied that he had not been told anything.

The exchange led Breeze to become more animated and begin pitching additional ideas. Canyon Ceman intervened to end the evaluation before it continued further.

Prior to the evaluation Breeze had been treated for a staph infection that was expected to sideline him for two weeks. After the meeting he told Woods it was the worst evaluation possible and that he expected to be released.

Breeze and Woods had previously teamed together briefly as the Hollywood Express in FCW. They later reunited as partners on the gaming channel UpUpDownDown.
