Ricky Sosa has been sidelined with a severe back injury. The announcement came during the October 22 episode of TNA Wrestling's Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC.

Sosa competed in a ladder match on the October 15 episode of Thursday Night iMPACT. The bout was a main event that offered a future shot at the TNA World Championship.
