The Dogs Look Back On Chain Match With Bang Bang Gang

“If you want violence, we’re your guys. We’re good at violence.— The Dogs
At AEW Redemption, David Finlay and Clark Connors as The Dogs faced Jay White and Juice Robinson of the Bang Bang Gang in a double chain match. Thompson described the match as brutal due to its physicality. Schiavone noted that the participants had a long time to prepare for the contest.
Finlay stated that if audiences want violence then he and Connors are the ones to deliver it because they excel at that style. Connors explained that in a match like that they consider their placement on the card and aim not to overshadow a later deathmatch, describing their approach as old school.
Connors revealed he took a significant bump by falling off the top rope onto the steel steps that he felt was exceptional though the camera cut caused it to be missed by viewers. Finlay described their mindset as using the tools provided within set parameters which can sometimes make the outcome feel less rewarding and lead to thoughts about being more selfish.
Connors discussed the importance of setting expectations for a double chain match positioned as a blood feud and expressed overall satisfaction with the product while viewing it as a learning experience. Connors admitted that getting hit with a chain is miserable despite finding the overall process fun.
The Dogs and Bang Bang Gang have since aligned following an attack on the Death Riders on this week's AEW Dynamite.
