Swerve Strickland Dismisses WWE-AEW Supershow Idea

“he doesn't think a WWE vs. AEW supershow will ever take place. At least in his lifetime.— Swerve Strickland
Swerve Strickland does not believe a WWE versus AEW supershow will ever occur. He stated that such an event will not take place at least during his lifetime.
WWE and AEW have competed in the professional wrestling industry since AEW launched in 2019. AEW entered with substantial funding and a strong roster, becoming WWE's first notable rival since WCW closed in 2001.
Over the past seven years, wrestlers have moved between the two promotions. WWE has signed talents including Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, Jon Moxley, and Chris Jericho from AEW, while Cody Rhodes, Ricky Starks, Jade Cargill, and others have gone from AEW to WWE.
Since AEW's debut, fans have speculated about a special event featuring top stars from both companies in direct competition. Strickland indicated that he does not expect this to happen.
Strickland explained that the decision comes down to control and marketing. He compared it to the NFL, saying WWE must protect its brand and would not allow AEW wrestlers to appear superior.
