Stu Grayson Recalls Stabbing Hand During Ring Setup
“The amount of time I should have gone stitches and I just used duct tape. It’s fucking crazy. I used to travel with duct tape and a little bit of crazy glue and I would just continuously just crazy glue duct tape my skin. Move on to the next match.— Stu Grayson

Stu Grayson remembered a time when he accidentally stabbed his own hand while setting up a wrestling ring. He was fixing a turnbuckle and using a long knife to cut the rope when the blade went all the way through his hand.

Grayson pulled the knife out of his hand and immediately asked for his crazy glue. He then applied the glue and duct taped the wound before continuing to wrestle in the match. The incident occurred during ring setup at a show where Grayson often took on hands-on tasks because he was the one who got things done. He noted that the injury happened in his hand, which he described as not the craziest place for such an accident despite it being a significant issue.

During a recent interview on Fightful Overbooked’s In The Weeds, Grayson discussed how he frequently opted for duct tape and crazy glue instead of seeking stitches for injuries. He explained that he used to travel with duct tape and a bit of crazy glue to patch up his skin and then proceed to the next match.

Grayson recalled that the amount of times he should have received stitches but chose to use duct tape instead was significant. He emphasized this approach by saying he would just continuously crazy glue and duct tape his skin before moving on.
