Steven Borden Sacrifices Career For AEW Wrestling Dream

Steven Borden gave up his career in business to pursue a career as a professional wrestler in AEW. He had been managing a sports technology company that was experiencing rapid growth.
Borden debuted in October 2025 and is one year into his wrestling career. With assistance from Darby Allin, he advanced to AEW's main roster.
During an episode of AEW Close-Up, Borden described leaving his previous life behind. He explained that he could not manage both his company responsibilities and wrestling training, which required 80 to 90 hours per week.
Borden chose to walk away from the company to focus entirely on wrestling. He has expressed that he is glad he made that decision.
At AEW All Out 2026, Borden suffered a serious concussion during a tag team match with Darby Allin against Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight. The match had to be stopped as a result.
Borden has since recovered fully from the concussion. There is currently no information available on his return to the ring.
