SmackDown Match Halted After R-Truth Injury

A match on SmackDown between R-Truth and Damian Priest was halted after Truth appeared to suffer an injury. Truth attempted a missile dropkick from the turnbuckle and stayed on the mat afterward while remaining conscious and moving.
The referee checked on Truth and then stopped the match, signaling the X sign to indicate a legitimate injury. Priest left the ring and retrieved a steel chair, but the referee intervened to prevent further action.
Fraxiom came to the ring to check on Truth as Priest dropped the chair and exited the area. Reports confirmed that the match stoppage was legitimate.
The original plan for the match had Priest winning followed by a post-match attack that Fraxiom would interrupt to make the save. Truth previously suffered a torn quad during an NXT match in November 2022 that required surgery and kept him sidelined for more than a year.
