Shinya Aoki Signs With DDT Pro-Wrestling

DDT Pro-Wrestling announced the signing of Shinya Aoki to a contract. The former freelancer had been competing for the promotion since 2018. Following his match on October 18 2026 the signing was made official and Aoki returned to the ring wearing a DDT shirt.

He added that he has now officially joined DDT instead of simply getting too caught up in it and asked whether others were jealous. Aoki plans to continue appearing on independent shows while holding a 49-13-1 MMA record that includes two-time ONE Lightweight World Championship reigns. His most recent two MMA fights ended in losses by TKO and knockout.
