Sheamus Recalls Nervous WWE ECW Debut

“People love to see a fight.— Sheamus
Sheamus made his official main roster debut on the June 30 2009 episode of ECW. He faced Oliver John in the match and secured the victory.
The Celtic Warrior felt extremely nervous during his early WWE years. He worried about making mistakes but gained experience through the developmental system and dark matches.
Sheamus ended the ECW bout quickly with a Brogue Kick followed by a backbreaker. Less than six months later he defeated John Cena to capture the WWE Championship.
Multiple current and former WWE performers have described Sheamus as the hardest hitter they have faced in the ring. He confirmed that he welcomed opponents returning the physicality.
Sheamus stated that audiences respond to seeing a real fight and internal hunger from the performers. He took pride in drawing that quality out of his opponents.
The multi-time world champion left WWE after declining a restructured contract extension. He entered free agency earlier this month.
