Saudi Airport Hit 20 Times Amid WWE Crown Jewel Prep

Saudi officials report that King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh has been attacked 20 times this month. The event comes as WWE Crown Jewel 2026 is scheduled to take place in the city next month.

A spokesperson for the Saudi-led military coalition in Yemen stated that the Iran-backed Houthi rebel group carried out the recent attacks. The assaults have killed 17 people and wounded 333 others.

The airport previously gained attention among wrestling fans when WWE wrestlers and employees were stranded there for several hours after the 2019 Crown Jewel event. WWE described the delay at the time as resulting from mechanical issues with the plane.

WWE Crown Jewel 2026 remains scheduled for November 7 at Riyadh Season Stadium at KAFD in Riyadh.
