Roman Reigns Treated Street Fighter Role Like WWE Main Event
“I just try to keep that type of weight on it, you know what I mean? ... The stakes are as high as can be, so you need to be able to come in and match what everybody's done.— Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns discussed his approach to portraying Akuma in the Street Fighter film during an interview on Sam Roberts' NotSam radio show.

Reigns explained that his character appears only in the third act of the movie. He approached the role with the same intensity as performing in the main event of a WWE show.

He emphasized the need to maintain high stakes and match the level set by the rest of the cast.

Reigns acknowledged that transitioning into the acting role was not easy for him as he is not a full-time actor. He relied on observing his castmates' performances to set the appropriate tone.

Reigns noted that his experience working in front of live audiences from wrestling helped him in portraying the character.

He described character work as a dial that he can adjust, allowing him to control how much he draws from his WWE persona when playing Akuma.
