Nemeths Address Leon Slater's Title Challenge

TNA iMPACT aired live from the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario, featuring fallout from the Lockdown event. The show opened with TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth and TNA World Tag Team Champion Ryan Nemeth celebrating their recent accomplishments.

The brothers described themselves as the greatest family in professional wrestling. Nic Nemeth emphasized his status as the most valuable man in TNA and highlighted the rare achievement of holding both the world and tag team titles simultaneously, a feat previously accomplished by only one other wrestler in TNA history.

Leon Slater interrupted the celebration. He confirmed that he had exercised Option C earlier in the day to challenge Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship at Bound for Glory and expressed confidence in becoming the youngest world champion.

Slater also stated his interest in the TNA World Tag Team Championship and revealed he had secured a tag team partner. Ricky Sosa then entered the arena, followed by Director of Authority Santino Marella.

Santino Marella announced that the main event would see the Nemeths defend the TNA World Tag Team Titles against Leon Slater and Ricky Sosa. Additional matches were confirmed for the show, including a tag team bout featuring John Skyler substituting for Mustafa Ali.
