Myles Borne Finds WWE NXT 'What?' Chants Funny
“I think it’s funny. They know the situation, and yet they’re sitting there yelling and just keep saying the Whats. I love it.— Myles Borne

WWE NXT wrestler Myles Borne opened up about facing lifelong bullying during a recent interview with KRON 4. Borne discussed his recent heel turn and how he is no longer afraid to create enemies with others. He revealed that throughout his life he has dealt with bullies who focused on his hearing aids and speech impediment.

Borne explained that for years he chose to be the bigger person by treating others the way he wanted to be treated though not everyone responded in kind. He recalled having intrusive thoughts about confronting his bullies but refrained because he was taught to only defend himself if someone put their hands on him and never to start a fight but always to finish one.

The former champion noted that some fans initially supported him only because he was known as the deaf guy. Borne said those same supporters would then criticize his speech on social media. He added that many people with disabilities including hearing impairments share his feelings and particularly dislike when others pity or pander to them.

Borne stated that he does not want sympathy because others assume he cannot do what they can and pointed out that he is the one performing in the ring while they watch him on television from home. Borne is a former WWE NXT North American Champion and Tag Team Champion who recently turned heel.
