MVP stated that The Hurt Syndicate wanted to drop the AEW World Tag Team Titles back to Private Party to work with younger talent. The Hurt Syndicate, consisting of Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, won the titles from Private Party on the January 25, 2025 edition of AEW Dynamite. They later lost the championships to Bang Bang Brodio in a three-way match also featuring FTR at AEW Forbidden Door 2025.
