MLW Introduces Don Gato via Danny McBride

MLW has introduced a new masked luchador character named Don Gato through actor Danny McBride. McBride does not wrestle but appears in segments and press conferences alongside Steve Little to build the character's backstory.

Don Gato is portrayed as a tequila-loving luchador. The name comes directly from McBride's own tequila brand.

The collaboration stems from a prior professional relationship. MLW founder Court Bauer worked on McBride's television series Eastbound & Down, and McBride has long been a wrestling fan from North Carolina.

McBride and Little have created unusual footage that gives MLW's programming a Hollywood flavor. The Don Gato storyline is now being integrated into the promotion's weekly television content.

MLW Fusion airs on Thursdays on Tubi. The addition of the Don Gato character brings a new element with Hollywood connections to the show.
