MLW Fusion results from Opera Cup opening round

The latest episode of MLW Fusion marked the start of the 16-man Opera Cup tournament. The show was taped in June at the Melrose Ballroom in New York and featured the opening round of matches.

The broadcast began with a narrated history of the Opera Cup. A segment with Josef Samael followed shortly after.

In the opening match, Zamaya defeated Lady Glory. Zamaya used a clothesline, a splash in the corner, a fisherman’s suplex, a running knee, and a Death Valley Driver to secure the pinfall.

Donovan Dijak and Joshua Bishop were shown arriving at the building. Dijak instructed Bishop to follow orders and control his behavior.

Matt Riddle approached Killer Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux backstage. Riddle revealed a new shorter haircut and reminded Kross that he owes him.

In the first-round Opera Cup match, LaBron Kozone faced Joe Coffey, who was accompanied by Mark Coffey and Wolfgang. The competitors traded strikes, suplexes, and submission holds during the bout.
