Mike Bailey Excited For AEW Clockwork Carnage Main Event

The upcoming AEW pay-per-view will include the company's first Clockwork Carnage match. The new stipulation and the lineup of competitors are expected to attract additional viewers to the event.

Mike Bailey expressed his excitement for the match during an interview. He noted that AEW pay-per-views feature the best wrestlers and that any match could serve as the main event.

This will mark Bailey's first time main eventing an AEW pay-per-view for the AEW World Championship. He stated that he aims to eventually defend the AEW World Championship in the main event of a pay-per-view and views this as an initial step toward that goal.

Bailey first learned of the Clockwork Carnage concept from Will Ospreay before the announcement. After seeing it revealed on television, he reacted positively to the complex and unusual idea, describing himself as someone who enjoys ridiculous match concepts.

Having joined United Empire, Bailey worked to qualify for the match. He indicated that his background in DDT, which included some of the most unusual matches in wrestling history, along with his experience in long independent matches, has prepared him for this type of bout.

Bailey described the Clockwork Carnage match as exactly the kind of contest he has trained his career to participate in. He found his involvement in it to feel surreal.
